Jerome D. Lacy is a native of Dallas, Texas. He was educated in the Dallas and Mesquite public School system. He is a third generation licensed funeral director and embalmer and a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he received a degree in mortuary science. He is a decorated Veteran, serving in the United States Navy Seabees in both Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope.
Jerome is the Past Master of the "historic" Metropolitan Lodge #146, Desoto, Texas and he serves as one of the youngest Past Masters in the history of Prince Hall Masonry in the state of Texas. He is a past Scout Master, of Troop #167, and he also served on the Troop Pack Committee for the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Lacy brings more than 25 years of funeral service experience to Legacy Funeral Home which includes 7 years as General Manager of two local funeral homes in the Dallas area.
With more than 25 years of civil service, he recently retired from U.T. Southwestern in December of 2016.
